MIA

For approximately one month Liam's  bear has been missing in action. The last time any of us had seen it was here at the house so we were pretty sure it was still here. 

We went on many bear hunts. But bear was nowhere to be found. Until today. 

Today I went to my closet to get my rain boots out and shoved at the very bottom of my boot was Liam's bear. 

I thought that surely Caroline had placed bear here since Liam couldn't ever think of where bear was but after being reunited I asked him if he thought Caroline hid bear or if he had hid bear in my boot. 

"Oh yeah. I put him there. I always put bear in your boot!"

I guess we know where to look for him the next time. I always put my most prized possessions in footwear as well. 

Loose teeth

It's crazy to me but Liam has 2 loose teeth. Lower front and center. I first noticed them being loose when I cleaned his teeth in January. I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me. He just turned 5?!?!? Just last week when he had his dental check up it was confirmed. They are definitely loose. And he is continuing to grow up. Right before my eyes. 

This sweet dog

This makes me happy. My big guard dog is so docile around these kids it melts my heart. She has even started playing tug of war with Liam. Which Liam has wanted for years. Butters wouldn't before because she knows how gentle she is supposed to be with the kids. Considering how wild Liam is now maybe she can sense that she doesn't have to just drop the toy every time he comes near anymore. 

I love how smart Butters is. I love that I don't have to worry about her with the kids. I know I don't say it enough but she's a great dog. She truly is. 

February highlights

Spring is in the air

As another beautiful spring day arrived Liam wanted to water our flowers. 

Caroline wanted to help too. 

I'm not sure a water gun will get the job done but it was some good problem solving on her part. 

First dental visit

This little lady had her first dental check up this morning. This was the happiest in the chair that she was. Before they started. After that she was very unsure. But she has 16 of her 20 baby teeth. Right where she should be at this time. Maybe in 6 months she'll be a bit more cooperative. Maybe all she will remember of today is the Minnie Mouse toothbrush she picked out and how excited she was about it.
