We bought this house 3 years ago and when we signed on the dotted line our first priority was to add a half bath on the main floor. Of course we had a long list of other projects that we also wanted to accomplish but that bathroom was #1. Three years later we have finally decided on where it should go, how it should be done and who should do it!
Our new 1/2 bathroom is off the kitchen and almost done! Evan's Uncle Jeff has been our contractor and has done an amazing job! Not only did he gut the old pantry, but he moved the cabinet holding our oven so we could extend a wall to make the bath just a little bit bigger. We also discovered why there was never any heat or air going to Liam's bedroom and fixed that as well. (Who knew a 1 inch gap between the duct work wouldn't keep the air circulating upwards)
And so far one of the best things about this project, and I say this because the toilet and sink still have to be installed, is our new kitchen floor! Evan and I are so excited to have a new floor. One that isn't white or the grout isn't stained with dirt and mud!
Uncle Jeff is almost done and hopefully by next week we will have a working downstairs bathroom!
