Confusing

A few days ago Liam and I were home and Butters needed to go outside. Often Liam wants to watch Butters from the window to see what she does without us. Obviously, she usually relieves herself and this time was no exception.

I decided that Butters should get a treat for doing her business outside instead of on my couch or floor and I shared this idea with Liam. Liam loves to give the dog her treats so he was very excited to see what kind of treat she would get. We currently have some dog treats that are homemade from a pet store here in Bloomington. They are very appealing to the eye with some dunked in a "frosting" with sprinkles and this was just the treat that I had picked out for Butters.

I gave the treat to Liam and we walked back over to the door, ready to give the fancy treat to Butters. Except Butters was not at the door and looking out the window she was very busy sniffing around and eating sticks. So, I told Liam we had to wait until she was ready to come in to give it to her. Except when I turned around I found Liam licking the sprinkles off the dog biscuit!

I immediately took away the dog treat and scolded my son for eating dog food! Which resulted in Liam crying and wanting the dog biscuit back. I told him no and that we do not under any circumstances eat dog food! To which he replied through tears and sobbing, "But I want to eat dog food!"
