Denver

I may be a little behind about writing this post but about 3 weeks ago I traveled to Denver and met my sister Adriane for a weekend trip. I accompanied her to a wedding for one of her friends and since she played her flute for the wedding that meant we got to go to the rehearsal, rehearsal dinner and of course the wedding.

I cannot say enough nice things about the couple who got married. The bride reminded me so much of my mother in law. She could be the nicest person I have ever met. The groom was equally warm and inviting and both of them in the midst of their blissful weekend made a point to greet me and make me feel welcome even though I had never met them before.

Denver is such an amazing city. We didn't have a car so we were really limited to the downtown area but it was so cool. I definitely want to go back and take Evan with me next time. I think he would love it even more than me. The only thumbs down for me was walking around and being greeted by the smell of marijuana every 30 feet. Seriously cannot figure out why this is now legal. Just my opinion but I never figured out the excitement of this or any drug.

Sister time was also equally amazing and fun. Adriane and I had a ton of bonding time, good conversations and great food. I am so lucky that I get three amazing sisters that are also my friends.

So as they say in Denver, Yee-haw! (I don't think we actually said this at any time during our stay, but I may have seen a woman wearing a vest that looked rather similar to that one that you used to have Stephanie, remember? In high school with the stripes?)

This is what happens when you wake up at 5:30 mountain time and no stores are open yet.
