In July we went to Iowa to help my Grandma Davidson celebrate her 100th birthday a little early. She turns 100 in February but family was concerned with traveling in winter and a resurge in COVID cases at that time so we opted for an early party. We had a bit less than 100 Davidson's show up and it was fun to see everyone.

At the end of July, Liam went to church camp with Eli in Lake Geneva. He was there for six days and had a blast! His parents were going through withdrawals as we could not call him to check in the entire time. We were thrilled to pick him up on the last day but unfortunately he had caught a summer virus while there. He did not have COVID as we did get him tested so that was a relief. He recovered in two days thankfully.

Caroline and I began reading the American Girl Doll Kirsten books. When I told her that I had gotten the doll when I was 8 years old and that we had her stored in the basement the girls were thrilled. Kirsten, I'm sure, is thrilled to be played with once again.
We also had a small adventure one night when we noticed a small frog caught in our window well. Liam hopped down to catch him and we took him to the pond a block over so he could be free again!
The girls also started gymnastics this summer. They are both learning how to walk on the balance beam, do somersaults, backbends, cartwheels and swing on the bars. It has been a good challenge for both girls.
