Caroline had a great birthday of turning 8! We had Aunt Emily, Grandpa and Grandma Fink come over for lunch the weekend before.
The girls decided they wanted to have a fun "sleepover"of sleeping on the floor instead of in their beds the night before; Caroline asked Daddy to make her breakfast in bed for her birthday so he made crepes as requested.
Grandpa and Grammy came over for dinner that night to help her celebrate as well.
The following weekend we decided to go all out and invite as many friends possible to a party at Gymnastics, Etc. We had 12 kids and the entire gym to ourselves. They had an obstacle course designed for the kids for the first 30 minutes and then an open gym for the rest of the time. We had cupcakes, ice cream and presents upstairs. We tried to play charades which was fun and a bit chaotic as well. After the party Caroline needed to decompress and played outside by herself for almost two hours. While it was great to finally be able to meet some of her school friends I think in the future we will just invite a few friends at a time.
We are so thankful that Caroline has so many people who love her and enjoy these moments of growing up!
