Spring

In February, we went to Iowa to celebrate Grandma Davidson turning 100! This was a great day where almost all of the Davidson group were able to get together for church and then a meal afterwards; an open house for the community was held later in the afternoon for my amazing grandmother! Archie even came for his first overnight in a hotel and a great excuse for Evan to escape the crowded party to walk him around town until it was time to go home.

Some more highlights of our spring included The Children's Discovery Museum here in Normal:

A St. Patrick's Day band concert:

Easter! I played my trumpet for church that morning and then hosted the Fink family in Bloomington for lunch. Later that afternoon we traveled to Danvers for dessert and the Easter egg hunt with the Walles side.

We checked out the Kindergarten orientation and 6th grade orientation for Lucy and Liam.

The kids had their piano recital that was Western themed; Caroline said she was very nervous and while she played slowly and quietly she was able to get through her piece. Liam had his piece memorized and did a great job. they also had a duet together as well which they played very well together.

We had preschool graduation where Lucy and her peers sang songs for the parents, Mrs. McCoy does a great job teaching and we are so impressed with all Lucy has learned under her direction.

On the last day of school Liam had his final march out of Grove Elementary. Thankfully, it was a day off for me so I was able to be there and get all those last day of school pictures. He is thrilled to be going to Junior High next year while he tells me the rules are much more relaxed than the elementary school. Here's to moving on up!
